Ольга Новікова - Olga Novikova
Ольга Новікова закінчила Українську академію мистецтв, театрально-декораційне відділення живописного факультету, майстерня Даніїла Лідера. Член Cпілки художників та член Cпілки театральних діячів України. Працює художником-постановником в НЦТМ ім. Леся Курбаса. Брала участь у кількох десятках виставках, зокрема персональних, працювала над оформленням низки вистав, книжок та плакатів.
Ольга Новікова займається сценографією, живописом, графікою. Окремі роботи знаходяться в приватних колекціях України, Німеччини, США, Франції.

Ольга Новікова. Сценографія життя і любові
Любов до театру існує на рівні генної пам’яті. Коли у людей виникла потреба не тільки розповісти, а й продемонструвати події, історії, роздуми про те, що з ними траплялось, ось тоді, певно, й зародився театр. І впродовж всього його існування всі причетні до нього - актори, режисери, художники, сценографи - всі служителі Мельпомени є для нас загадковими непередбаченими, сучасними, овіяним фльором втаємниченості особистостями.
Київ з далеких часів був театральним містом. Балагани на Подільських ярмарках, аматорські студентські та домашні театри, Театр Соловцова, чисельні гастролюючі зірки французької, італійської сцени. Саме Київ сформував таких зірок як Садовський, Кропивницький, Серж Лифар, Олександр Вертинський, Оксана Петрусенко та багато іншіх, яки увійшли в історію світового театру.
20 сторіччя подарувало Києву Леся Курбаса разом з плеядою творців “українського відродження” - Данила Лідера, Богдана Ступку, Костянтина Хостікоєва і тих, чиї імена митців театру проявляються у своїй популярності і славі на наших очах.
Ольга Новікова - театральний художник, живописець, член НСХУ, киянка, яка присвятила десятки років творчої наснаги Центру театрального мистецтва імені Леся Курбаса.
Здається, що життя готувало Ольгу до майбутньої професії сценографа із самого дитинства. Вона навчалась у художній школі на Оболоні, де її вчителем був Борис Петрович Іщук, який вперше познайомив її із французькими імпресіоністами. Так були закладені перші постулати життя художника, в яких свобода та незалежність світобачення і світовідтворення займають перші позиції.
Першою театральною роботою Ольги Новікової стала вистава “Чекаючи на Годо”. І саме тут розпочинає свій шлях його величність знаковий випадок у житті сценографа, художника театрального костюму Ольги Новікової. Кожна, без виключення, п’єса, яку оформлювала мисткиня, віддзеркалювала певну грань її особистості. Тому її роботи виглядають такими переконливими.
У “Чекаючи на Годо” сценографія побудована на практично одному об’єкті - вуличному ліхтарі, що схилився, немов Пізанська вежа. Метафорика об’єкту свідчить про драматизм ситуації, коли закладений потенціал внутрішнього руху застигає у нерішучій рівновазі. І те, що має статись, не здійснюється без дійового наміру того, хто очікує.
У робочому кабінеті Ольги Новікової стоїть макет її давньої, улюбленої багатьма роботи до вистави за п’єсою Оксани Танюк “Сон Лакшмі”. Світи індійського епосу, а за суттю, ведичні історії, художниця тонко відчула, занурюючись у Всесвіт підсвідомості коли відтворювала картину світу героїв із притаманною їм музичною пластичністю рухів, космосом їх вбрання, коли сценічний костюм допомагає актору перемістити свідомість у простори заданого тексту і драматургії. А сама сценографія, при цьому, стає моделлю космічного трансформування, коли смислові якості предметів змінюються в залежності від ходу театрального дійства. Таким чином, учениця Данила Лідера має хист, постійно навчаючись, розвивати вектор творчого художнього образу свого наставника і вчителя.
Олена Новікова не обмежує свій талант мистецтвом сценографа, художника із сценічного костюму. Вона вміє захоплюватись красою архітектурної конструкції старовинних будинків (Вільнюський цикл та інші). Естетика натюрморту теж приваблює художницю - вона охоплює все коло вражень, що надихає на позитивне налаштування, сама створює навколо себе ауру творчості і втаємниченості.

Olga Novikova
Olga Novikova graduated from the Ukrainian Academy of Arts, the theatre and decoration department of the painting faculty, the workshop of Daniil Leader. Member of the Union of Artists and member of the Union of Theatre Workers of Ukraine. She works as a production designer at the Les Kurbas National Theatre and Music Centre. Participated in several dozen exhibitions, including personal ones, worked on the design of a number of performances, books and posters.
Olga Novikova is engaged in scenography, painting, graphics. Some of her works are in private collections in Ukraine, Germany, USA and France.

Olga Novikova. Scenography of life and love
Love for the theatre exists at the level of genetic memory. When people had a need not only to tell, but also to demonstrate events, stories, reflections on what happened to them, that’s when the theater was probably born. And throughout its existence, all those involved in it - actors, directors, artists, scenographers - all the servants of Melpomene are for us mysterious, unpredictable, modern personalities, shrouded in the aura of secrecy.
Kyiv has been a theatre city since ancient times. Rattles at the Podil fairs, amateur student and home theatres, the Solovtsov Theatre, numerous touring stars of the French and Italian stages. It was Kyiv that formed such stars as Sadovsky, Kropyvnytsky, Serge Lyfar, Oleksandr Vertynsky, Oksana Petrusenko and many others who entered the history of the world theatre.
The 20th century gave Les Kurbas to Kyiv along with a galaxy of creators of the “Ukrainian renaissance” - Danylo Leader, Bohdan Stupka, Kostyantyn Hostikoyev, and those whose names of theatre artists manifest themselves in their popularity and glory in front of our eyes.
Olga Novikova is a theatre artist, a painter, a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine, a Kyivan who devoted decades of creative work to the Les Kurbas Centre for Theatre Arts.
It seems that life has been preparing Olga for the future profession of scenographer since childhood. She studied at an art school in Obolon (Kyiv), where her teacher was Borys Petrovych Ishchuk, who first introduced her to the French Impressionists. This is how the first postulates of the artist’s life were laid, in which freedom and independence of worldview and world creation occupy the first positions.
The first theatrical work of Olga Novikova was the performance “Waiting for Godot”. And it is here that his majesty a landmark event begins his journey in the life of stage designer, theatre costume designer Olga Novikova. Every piece, without exception, which the artist designed, reflected a certain facet of her personality. That’s why her works look so convincing.
In “Waiting for Godot”, the scenography is built on practically one object - a street lantern, leaning like the Leaning Tower of Pisa. The metaphor of the object testifies to the drama of the situation, when the inherent potential of internal movement freezes in an indecisive equilibrium. And what is to happen is not done without the active intention of the one who expects.
In Olga Novikova’s cabinet, there is a model of her old work, beloved by many, for the performance based on Oksana Tanyuk’s play “Lakshmi’s Dream”. The worlds of the Indian epic, and in essence, the Vedic stories, the artist subtly felt, plunging into the universe of the subconscious when she recreated the picture of the world of heroes with their inherent musical plasticity of movements, the cosmos of their clothes, when the stage costume helps the actor to move his consciousness into the spaces of the given text and dramaturgy. And the scenography itself, at the same time, becomes a model of cosmic transformation, when the semantic qualities of objects change depending on the course of the theatrical action. Thus, Danyla Leader’s student has the knack, constantly learning, to develop the vector of the creative artistic image of her mentor and teacher.
Olena Novikova does not limit her talent to the art of scenography as a stage costume artist. She knows how to admire the beauty of the architectural design of ancient buildings (Vilnius collection and others). The aesthetics of still life also attracts the artist - it covers the whole range of impressions, which inspires a positive attitude, creates an aura of creativity and secrecy around itself.
