Художник, що йде попереду часу - An artist ahead of his time

Ім’я Юрій Вакуленко добре відомо і знано не тільки в Україні, а й серед європейської спільноти музейників, знавців старожитностей та реставраторів. Молоде покоління українців переймає основи експертизи творів мистецтва у свого прогресивного вчителя - Юрія Євгеновича Вакуленко.

Напочатку 1980-х у Києві виникла група молодих нон-конформістів “39,9”, яку створив і очолив герой нашої оповіді. Тоді ж відбулась подія, яку можна назвати поверненням Авангарду у нових реаліях мистецького часу - виставка у залах кінотеатру “Зоряний” на Печерську, у ініціюванні якої брав участь Юрій Вакуленко. Через десятиліття, колись молодий романтик, захоплений перетинами просторів і часів, сприятиме створеню у Києві музею Авангарду.

Специфіка базової професії реставратора, коли спеціаліст має справу з предметами антикваріату і артефактами, накладає свій відбиток на творчу свідомість Юрія Вакуленка. Його творчість як живописця неодмінно несе в собі флер містичного, втаємниченого, незважаючи на різні сюжети, теми і втілення його картин.

У проєкті “Золота мелодія UA Art”, представленому Творчим об’єднанням “Сонце в Серці”, митець, серед інших своїх творив презентує полотно “Енергетичні квіти”. Усвідомлене бачення тонких світів надає картині якості реалістичності містичного світу. Ритми спалахів, схожих на торжество салютів повертають нас до безсмертних творів Карлоса Кастанеди, до величного мага Дона Хуана.

Проте, щось нам підказує, що натхнення образності спалахів і ритмів, гами кольорів у мерехтінні фіолетового, жовто-лимонного із краплинами пурпурових акцентів - художник Юрій Вакуленко створив образ нашого вічного, рідного міста Києва з його бурлескними травневи ночами із теплими вітрами і зливами.

The name Yuriy Vakulenko is well known and known not only in Ukraine, but also among the European community of museum workers, connoisseurs of antiquities and restorers. The young generation of Ukrainians adopts the basics of art examination from their progressive teacher - Yuriy Evgenovych Vakulenko.

In the early 1980s, a group of young non-conformists “39.9” appeared in Kyiv, which was created and led by the hero of our story. At the same time, an event took place that can be called the return of the Avant-garde in the new realities of the artistic time - an exhibition in the halls of the “Zoryany” cinema on Pechersk, in the initiation of which Yuriy Vakulenko participated. Decades later, the once young romantic, fascinated by the intersections of space and time, will contribute to the creation of the Avant-garde Museum in Kyiv.

The specifics of the basic profession of a restorer, when a specialist deals with antiques and artifacts, leaves its mark on the creative consciousness of Yuriy Vakulenko. His work as a painter certainly carries a touch of the mystical, mysterious, despite the different plots, themes and incarnations of his paintings.

In the project “Golden Melody UA Art”, presented by the Creative association “Sun in Heart”, the artist, among his other works, presents the painting “Energetic Flowers”. A conscious vision of subtle worlds gives the picture the quality of realism of a mystical world. The rhythms of flashes, similar to the triumph of fireworks, return us to the immortal works of Carlos Castaneda, to the majestic magician Don Juan.

However, something tells us that the inspiration of the imagery of flashes and rhythms, the range of colours in the shimmering purple, yellow-lemon with drops of purple accents - the artist Yuriy Vakulenko created the image of our eternal, native city of Kyiv with its burlesque May nights with warm winds and showers.
